Biography

Wynn Holmberg (he/him), BBA

Role: On January 5, 2026 he assumed the position of

Fundraising Associate at the Cowichan Trail Stewardship

Society. In this role Wynn supports the organization by

securing funding for trail maintenance and network development opportunities in the Cowichan Valley. He is dedicated to improving the access of the local trail system so everyone can enjoy the trails regardless of age or ability.


Background and Interests: Wynn is originally from British Columbia’s Kootenay region and now calls Victoria home. Growing up surrounded by endless mountain ranges and wilderness has provided him the opportunity to explore the outdoors and pursue outdoor recreation of all types. Over the past 10 years Wynn has developed a love for mountain biking and he can often be found riding his bike on one of Vancouver Island’s world class trails. This passion for the sport and appreciation for the outdoors motivates him to advocate for living an active lifestyle and increasing the accessibility of outdoor recreation areas for everyone.

 

Work Experience and Skills: Wynn has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Camosun College and 4 years of work experience in the non-profit sector. He has worked for two cycling organizations where he has developed grant proposals to build recreational trails for local communities, consulted with municipalities and regional districts to increase accessibility in parks, and co-authored Adaptive Mountain Bike Trail Standards. Wynn’s education and experience have provided him with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively communicate, develop realistic goals, create attainable objectives, and execute strategic plans.
