Portfolio Purpose: Highlight key skills and abilities to secure a Project Manager role at a non-profit or social enterprise in the Victoria area. 

 

This portfolio is a compilation of work completed for a communications class at Camosun College as part of my Bachelors of Business Administration program. All work examples are created for the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society and are based on a fictional project to increase accessibility and inclusion within the Cowichan Valley trail network.  

 

The work highlighted in Wynn’s portfolio reflects his practical business communications skills gained throughout this course and demonstrates his ability to be a reliable and effective contributor within a team environment. His project examples showcase the ability to set clear goals, support collaborative processes, and deliver work that aligns with organizational objectives. Project opportunity identification and planning, proposal development, grant writing, policy development, and verbal presentation skills are all demonstrated by Wynn in the following work examples.

Wynn has developed a growing interest in project management as a career path. He is motivated by the opportunity to take on a more structured role in planning, coordinating, and completing projects that align with both organizational goals and community needs. His education and work experience has provided a strong foundation in developing realistic goals, creating actionable plans, and supporting teams in achieving shared outcomes.

 

Wynn’s career goal is to continue building his skills as a project manager within the nonprofit sector where he can contribute to initiatives that require thoughtful collaboration with stakeholders, clear communication skills, and long-term planning strategy development. He is particularly interested in work that supports community development and accessibility enhancement in outdoor recreation, where effective project management can help turn ideas into meaningful and lasting results for local communities.
